Experience Area Seminars
The main part of the programme is the Experience Area Seminars which cover the professional areas that you need knowledge of and experience in to become a Registered Architect.
The core presenters of the programme are Christina van Bohemen, John Coop and Craig Moller, all Directors of leading architectural practices in New Zealand.

Christina van Bohemen Director of Sills van Bohemen Architects & Chair of the Auckland Branch of the NZIA
Christina is a registered architect and Director of Sills van Bohemen Architecture in Auckland. Christina graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1996 and has over 11 years design experience. Christina formed her own practice - Sills van Bohemen Architecture in Auckland in 2001. The practice focuses on urban design and residential architecture. Along with new houses and residential alterations the practice has built up experience and a body of work in the urban design field, working primarily for the public sector.
Before forming her own practice Christina worked for Jasmax (Auckland) and her design projects focused on educational and residential projects.
Christina has been a judge and convener for the NZIA Resene Awards and the NZIA Dulux Student Design Award and a visiting design critic at the University of Auckland and Unitec. She has also written articles on significant projects for various architectural publications. Christina was Chair of the Auckland Branch of the NZIA in 2008 and 2009

John Coop Director of Warren and Mahoney
John is a registered architect and has been a Director of Warren and Mahoney since 2002 and is one of their principal designers. He was educated at the University of Auckland and Berkeley University, San Francisco, graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) in 1995.
John has over 13 years of design experience on overseas and New Zealand based projects. Before re-joining Warren and Mahoney in 2001, John spent three years with the London based practice Wilkinson Eyre Architects.
John’s design experience includes work across a broad range of building types. This includes large and complex cultural and community projects in the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as design and master-planning of significant public-transport and museum projects. He has also contributed to the design of large scale educational, commercial and residential projects in New Zealand.
John has written articles on significant projects for various industry and architectural publications and has also presented lectures at Universities and industry organisations.

Craig Moller Director of Moller Architects
Craig Moller is a registered architect and a Director of Moller Architects. He was educated at the University of Auckland School of Architecture graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1990 and Yale University School of Architecture graduating with a Master of Architecture in 1993.
With over 15 years of design experience at Moller Architects - Craig has designed and been involved in the construction of a large range of building types. From residential houses, apartment buildings, and institutional buildings to urban design, and master planning projects.
Craig has presented lectures on significant design projects at the Schools of Architecture in New Zealand and has also held various teaching positions as a design critic at the University of Auckland and Victoria University of Wellington.
Craig has been a design judge and a convener for the NZIA Branch Awards and a member of a number of university program review panels. He represented NZIA on the RAIA National Visiting Panel (NVP) 2006 and was a member of the Landscape Architecture Program Review Panel at Unitec in 2007. He is also a current member of the 2008 NZIA Conference Committee.
